Job Description

  • Lead and manage the Brainlab Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 14001:2015 and relevant EU and international regulations.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on Environmental KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Plan, execute, and manage internal and external environmental audits, ensuring implementation of corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee pollution control, waste management, and resource consumption to enhance sustainability efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with electronic waste, batteries, and packaging regulations, maintaining all necessary documentation and reporting.
  • Respond to customer environmental inquiries and questionnaires.
  • Support the supplier selection process, evaluating sustainability and environmental compliance aspects.
  • Manage and lead various environmental and sustainability projects to enhance corporate responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in environmental management, ideally within a certified ISO 14001:2015 environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EU and international environmental regulations.
  • Experience in auditing and compliance reporting.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct impact assessments and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
